Causha Spellman-Timmons (They/Them) is a Black, Queer, Non-binary, multi-talented visionary with over two decades of experience and commitment in service-oriented roles. A passionate advocate, activist, and visionary, SOULcial worker, educator, public speaker, consultant, and officiant, Causha has consistently championed the belief that health and well-being are fundamental human rights.

Causha's professional journey is marked by a series of impactful roles and initiatives. Causha formerly served as the Director of Admin & People and as the board secretary for Willow Permanent Real Estate Cooperative, where they were a founding member. In this role, Causha was instrumental in developing the cooperative's systems and managing day-to-day operations, outreach, and infrastructure development.

In addition to their work with Willow Permanent Real Estate Cooperative, Causha is the founder of CAST Associ8tes, a consulting and coaching firm that integrates personal life knowledge with multi-faceted professional expertise. CAST Associ8tes offers business consulting, resource mobilization, personal life coaching, accountability coaching, peer support, public speaking, and more, all aimed at fostering growth and healing-centered, SOULcial justice approaches to life and work.

Causha's extensive experience includes roles such as Cooperative Research Fellow at the Philadelphia Area Co-op Alliance, Lecturer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Youth Partner Supervisor at EPIC 'Ohana, Inc., and Program Co-founder and Co-facilitator at Ceeds of Peace - Youth Talk Back. They have also served as a Teen Advocate at the Domestic Violence Action Center, providing critical support and education to youth regarding intimate partner violence and healthy relationships.


My approach to building a professional community is characterized by inclusivity and collaboration. I prioritize creating a supportive environment where folks feel valued and empowered to collaborate using their expertise and ideas. Through fostering meaningful connections and encouraging active participation, I aim to cultivate a network that facilitates mutual growth and success among its members. My strategy involves leveraging diverse perspectives and experiences to drive innovation and achieve common goals within the community.

Causha holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University, and is retired from pursuing a PhD in Social Welfare at the University of Pennsylvania. They are currently an MS in Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship student at Temple University.

After years of navigating the industrial complexes of this society, Causha recommitted to their health and well-being by reconnecting with water and land, striving for a balanced personal and professional life. Their work continues to inspire and drive positive change in the communities they serve. They are driven by a belief that health and well-being are human rights, and as such, expanded their focus to also include housing justice.
